This will probably only be of interest to people from Ohio, and maybe not even to them, but in this age of three-day music festivals costing hundreds of dollars and attended by hundreds of thousands of fans, it's nice to find an intimate, inexpensive and fun festival. This one is in Nelsonville, Ohio, and takes place May 16th - 18th.
The big names are probably Akron/Family, The Avett Brothers, and Betty LaVette, but a few of my under-the-radar favorites (Southeast Engine, Justin Townes Earle, O Death) will be there as well. Best of all it's forty bucks for the weekend, and you'll be hanging out with a couple thousand people (at most) in Ohio's little Appalachian corner.

Guy Clark's performance closing out last year's Hockhocking Festival in Nelsonville was stellar!
