Yes, they are coming back to Columbus. October 27th at the Newport Music Hall. Anybody want to join me and my white-haired Emmylou Harris lookalike for a night of gutter poet/cowgirl beauty queen fun?

Can I opt for seeing The Killers at Lifestyles for twice the price? lol. just kidding andy. believe me, just kidding. :) (what has the world come to when a band like The Killers can charge $40 for a show?)
Count me in! Do you wnat to go see The Dropkick Murphys at the same venue on September 19? That's two days after they put out a new album. Have you heard it yet?

I was in Columbus last week visiting my brother and we passed by this venue. It looked pretty cool from the outside. I hope all y'all in Columbus get to this show. The Hold Steady are the absolute best club show going these days (apologies to Lucero, Jesse Malin and The Format).
Trip, I think it's likely that the show will sell out. I saw The Hold Steady at the same venue on St. Patrick's Day. That was a sellout. The upcoming show is on the Saturday night of Halloween weekend. The crazies will be out in force.
Grant, you're in. Sounds fun. Scott, we'll make this work. I look forward to meeting you. Let me get back to you on Dropkick Murphys. I certainly like the band. It's a question of possible previous commitments, and I need to consult with the keeper of the Whitman schedule.
Can't make it to Columbus, I'm afraid, but I'm delighted to say that these guys are coming to my home town of Knoxville in late October. It'll be my first time seeing my favorite rock band on the planet. Enthused doesn't even begin to describe it.
You know, Andy, you've introduced me to so many great albums and bands, I can't help but gloat about the fact that I've actually been singing this band's praises longer than you have. Neener neener! :-)
Just a quick note for those of you who have expressed interest in attending the Hold Steady concert. I ordered my tickets today (Sunday 8/26) and was informed that there are only limited tickets still available. Since they only went on sale yesterday, I think that means you'd better act fast if you want to go.

Josh, I'm glad you'll be able to see The Hold Steady in Knoxville.
And I certainly give you credit for introducing me to the music. Very good call.
