I guess I view it all as normal music-PR-speak. Every week I receive 10 - 15 life-changing albums that will alter the course of western civilization. And then the following week I do it all over again.
It's refreshing that these four musicians should pay tribute to their Greek heritage in their band name. It is a rare thing to honor the past, especially among the youth.
And it's quite understandable why they should wear beards and flannel shirts. If I were transplanted from a Greek island to Seattle, I probably would too.
(Actually, I do have a full beard and wear flannel shirts. I wonder if any of my ancestors hailed from Lesbos. I will have to ask mom and dad if I am part Lesbian.)
If this band also honors its ancestry by employing the ancient Greek modes and Pythagorean ideas of harmony, their music should be quite fascinating indeed.

I have to say, I find Fanatic's emails the most obnoxious of the promo companies. The subject lines are way too long ... and usually too silly.
They do seem to get a tad over-excited about their releases at times, don't they?
