There are a million Springsteen-influenced roots rock bands. But not all of them are good. And virtually none of them offer their music for free. This is no-frills rock 'n roll, no apologies offered or needed. The guitars ring, the drums slam, and the lead singer hyperventilates while screaming and growling well-written odes to love, lost and found. It's an old formula, but when it works (and it works here), it's just about the best sound in the world. You ought to pay money for this. But in this case, you don't have to. And no, I have no idea why cucumbers might incite a riot.
