I'll be relocating to Columbus for a job (and a relationship) in a few weeks, and I was wondering if you had any suggestions for a book/music/film-loving newcomer. I've hit a few places already on previous visits--Acorn Books, Used Kids, Drexel Theater--but there's a lot more out there, I'm sure! I'm especially curious about what the Columbus music scene is like.Caleb Cooknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9991864.post-54745380442065053112014-05-06T10:30:11.530-04:002014-05-06T10:30:11.530-04:00My favorite Ohio fiction has to be Mary Grimm'...My favorite Ohio fiction has to be Mary Grimm's little-read novel "Left to Ourselves." Although I didn't like the ending, and I've barely spent any time in Ohio, I feel like I've lived there after reading it. It's set in Cleveland, I believe, but it feels like a Ulysses for bitterly cold aimless dying rust-belt towns. I recommend it.Melissa Jenkshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05671992975667465476noreply@blogger.com
